About Us
About Matsubayashi Pedals
Matsubayashi Pedals was established in 2019. It began with a meeting between pedal engineer, vintage effector & amplifier collector Kenichi Hayashi and sound engineer, guitarist Shinichi L. Matsuda.
Kenichi Hayashi is engineer who has already replicated the amplifier through a reverse engineering approach to the DXXbXX ODS Amplifier circuit at the age of 24. He worked for FX company, and now he is exploring vintage equipment while pioneering new expertise. He is in charge of production and design of Matsubayashi Pedals.
Shinichi L. Matsuda is professional technician at broadcasting company and works on guitar recording sessions and composition. Based on his experience in repairing equipment and musical experience, he is in charge of the production of Matsubayashi Pedals.
Our Mission
Matsubayashi Pedals aims to perfect recreate vintage equipment. In the case of vintage pedals, there are expensive price burdens, problem with the lifespan and bias. Based on our vintage pedal collection, Our mission is building products that have the same performance as vintage equipment without life problems and price burdens. We don’t compromise not only on appearance but also on every process. We are constantly collecting vintage pedals and NOS parts. Also, we are constantly doing research on restoration.
